Mostly –HMS Richmond will be accessible to disabled visitors. However because Portsmouth Naval Base has only tidal berthings the ship will be accessible to wheel chair users from the following times: Friday 1000 - 1045, Sat 1000 - 1130, Sun 1115 -1245. Many parts of the Dockyard itself and aspects of the Heritage attractions are accessible. For full details check the visitor information available on the website.
Wheelchairs can be hired from Shopmobility Portsmouth, Arundel Street, Portsmouth, PO1 1NL , 02392 816973. Hire available Friday 25th & Saturday 26th July ONLY (Sunday 27th July - not available)
Hire on membership basis - £13.50 (valid for a year) 2 forms of ID are required, one with proof of address (example - utility bill), 1 proof of signature (example- bank card/passport)

| Is there Disabled Parking? |
Disabled Parking spaces are available on the site by booking in advance with your ticket. To book your parking space please call Advances Sales on 023 9283 9766 or email groups@historicdockyard.co.uk
To book a parking space you must be registered disabled and show proof on arrival. You must give the drivers name and full vehicle details (make, model and registration) and your booking reference number.
Please note that spaces are limited and bookings will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

| Is there adequate Parking/ park and ride? |
We do have 300 spaces at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard car park. However it will be cheaper and easier to use the Park & Rail service signed from M27. This will operate from Hilsea Station. Park & Rail tickets can be booked in advance online at www.meetyournavy.co.uk/ticket-pricing at discounted rates: Adults:£2.20, Child/Senior:£1, Family (2 adults and upto 3 children): £6.50. Please note on the day Park & Rail tickets will be adults: Adult/Seniors: £2.70 and Child: £1.35. For regular travel updates please visit the website.

| What trains and buses go there? |
Portsmouth Harbour is on the mainline from Waterloo. SouthWest Trains, Southern and Virgin run services into Portsmouth Harbour.
The Hard bus terminal is outside Victory Gate. Stagecoach, First and National Express operate services into The Hard.

| How are groups to be checked in and will there be a parking voucher for them? |
Groups/Coaches will come through Unicorn Gate and drop off at a designated drop off area within the Dockyard. Groups will be checked in from here. Coaches will not be able to park in the Base with the exception of disabled coach drivers by prior arrangement only.

Service personnel in 1s uniform may book in advance for free entry and up to four guests at 25% discount.
